North Grand Mall in Ames is losing one of it's anchor stores. The parent company of Younkers says it will close all it's stores as part of a bankruptcy liquidation. Bon-Ton Stores Inc. reached an agreement with a pair of liquidation companies this week that, by the end of August, it will close the company's 256 stores, including 49 Younkers stores, 17 of them in Iowa. Assets, including store merchandise and property, will be sold. Great American Group and Tiger Capital Group reached an agreement to purchase Bon-Ton for $775.5 million on Tuesday. Bon-Ton operates stores in 23 states that employ about 23,000 people.
