Legislative session to go beyond 100 days

A Story County state representative predicts the Legislative session will likely go beyond Tuesday's 100th day. Rep. Dave Deyoe (R-49) says lots of work remains on a new state budget.  He says once spending bills are agreed to, lawmakers need about 10 days to wrap up the session  Deyoe says lawmakers are stuck until the House and Senate can agree on a tax cut plan. The Senate's plan, introduced last week, would reduce income taxes by $2 billion over the next five years. A house plan would cut taxes by $1.3 billion.
