The Story County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI are investigating an armed robbery at the Maxwell State Bank in Maxwell Tuesday. Sheriff's Cpt. Barry Thomas says a pair of black men with their faces covered robbed the bank at gunpoint just before 10:30 a.m. He says bank employees told deputies the men left in a vehicle found empty a short time later, which led them to believe the suspects fled the area in second vehicle. Thomas says anyone with information about the robbery or the suspects should call the Sheriff's Office or Story County Crime Stoppers.
