Ames school district to replace top administrators

The Ames School District will replace its top two administrators when the academic year ends. Deputy Superintendent Mandy Ross will become superintendent of the Webster City School District on July 1st. She leaves after 16 years in Ames as an elementary school principal and administrator. The Ames School Board will start the process next month of interviewing candidates for the superintendent's job that comes open with Tim Taylor's retirement this summer. The board hopes to have a list of candidates narrowed to six finalists for interviews and public forums on April 17th and 18th.
