A Republican-led tax cut plan is off to the Iowa House. Senators voted 29-21 Wednsday for the measure that would lower the state's top tax rate to 6.3 percent for anyone making over $75,000 annually. Democrats ripped the plan just a day after the Legislative Services Agency said the plan would reduce state revenue by more than $1.1 billion in the 2023 fiscal year. The report also said the state would collect nearly $208 million less in the fiscal year that begins July 1st if the measure becomes law.
