Iowa State, Northern Iowa and the University of Iowa are all listed in the top 100 safest college campuses in the country. A report by the National Council for Home Safety and Security ranks Iowa State 28th safest in the nation. UNI ranks 30th and Iowa is at number-56. The list was compiled using the FBI's uniform crime reporting and the campus security survey by the U.S. Department of Education.
