Gov. Reynolds opposes "sanctuary cities"

Gov. Reynolds says she strongly opposes any sanctuary cities in Iowa.  The governor said Monday that the effort to shield undocumented immigrants can be a safety issue, and that the laws on the books should be obeyed.  Reynolds has been critical of moves by Des Moines and Iowa City to establish sanctuary city status.  A bill has been drafted in the legislature to deny state funds to any sanctuary city established in Iowa.
