Senate committee agrees to House education funding

House and Senate Republicans appear to be on the same page when it comes to funding Iowa schools.  A Senate committee passed a $32 million increase in education funding Thursday--just a day after House Republicans introduced a similar plan.  Gov. Reynolds proposed a $54 million increase.  The House and Senate proposals represent a one percent increase from current spending.
