A Nevada man is recovering from serious injuries after being hit by a train this week. The Nevada Public Safety Department says in a news release Tuesday 29-year-old Calvin White was struck at about 2:15 Monday afternoon as he was walking along the tracks about a mile west of a County Road S-14. White was taken to a Des Moines-area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities are investigating the incident.
