Our LAPD, lovely Ames Police Department, is getting body cams for it’s officers and quite frankly I’m curious about the effect it will have on all parties involved. The intent is to offer a better record of how incidents actually played out rather than depending on memories that occurred in the heat of the moment, 4 witnesses can give you 4 different recollections, these camera’s should provide an objective view. My main concern is how much make up we should wear to soften our image, finding out whether this may be available for resume building in case I get jail time. I also think this may sharpen our performances while being reprimanded. I think we need to develop an award ceremony for best performances and encores with the department. Lawyers your part in these arrests will be much diminished as perpetrators will look first for agents. Smile, your on Body Camera!
