The Iowa State football team has a new running backs coach. ISU announced Thursday former Illinois assistant Nathan Scheelhaase will take over for former Cyclones running backs coach Lou Ayeni, who left earlier this month for a similar position at Northwestern. Scheelhaase spent the last two seasons as an offensive analyst for the Figting Illini after a season as running backs coach in Champaign. He was a four-year starter at quarterback for Illinois, finishing his career as the school's all-time leader in career total offense.
