Governor Reynolds brought her "Unleashing Opportunity" tour to Ames Thursday. Reynolds and Lt. Gov. Adam Gregg spoke to a small group at the west Ames HyVee, touching on issues including education, the economy and health care. Reynolds touted her proposal to increase Pre K-through-12 education spending by $54 million dollars, but cautioned not to measure the quality of education by funding alone. She also talked about her efforts to improve STEM education, skilled jobs training and water quality.
