Iowa Republican Senator Joni Ernst says President Trump isn't a racist, but also says his words aren't very helpful. Ernst commented during a stop in Boone Monday as part of her 99 county tour. She said she'd rather be talking about legislation than Trump, and that working with allies is critical. Ernst also touched on DACA, President Obama's executive action on immigration, by saying the issue needs to be solved in addition to enacting border security priorities.
