Open enrollment for coverage under the Affordable Care Act starting on January 1st is over, but many Iowans signed up with just days to go. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services says more than 53,000 people picked a plan from November 1st through December 15th. Over the last six days of enrollment, the number of people who signed up nearly doubled in Iowa.
