Iowa's population is growing, but it's staying steady overall. New estimates released by the U.S. Census Bureau put Iowa's population in July 2017 at just short of 3.146 million people. That's an increase of nearly 15,000 people from the same time in July 2016. Overall, Iowa's population is still ranked 30th in the nation.
