Iowa's 2017 farmland value jumps

Iowa State's latest survey of Iowa farmland values reveals some good news for landowners. Wen Dong Zhang ISU's Center for Agricultural and Rural Development says the average price of iowa farmland is $7,326 an acre, $150 more than a year ago. He says prices are higher because less land is for sale so the uptick probably isn't a sign of a turnaround in the ag economy.
