Cedar Falls murder determined to be "random"

Police say the suspect in a Cedar Falls man's murder had no connection to the victim.  Curtis Ross was found in late November with multiple gunshot and stab wounds, two days after he was reported missing from a Thanksgiving weekend hunt.  Ethan Davis was charged with 1st degree murder after investigators matched him to a fingerprint at the crime scene. Police also connected him to shell casings, blood evidence, and the weapon allegedly used in the murder. Investigators still have no motive, and now believe Ross' killing was random.
