A former youth pastor from Boone is heading to prison for having an inappropriate relationship with a girl from his church. Joel Waltz was charged in march with sexual exploitation by a counselor after admitting to having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl. The victim met Waltz when she was 11-years-old after being put in foster care. She says Waltz regularly checked in and took her out to lunch. He was sentenced to four years in prison.
