Public to heard from soon on new Ames High School

The superintendent of Ames Schools says the district is moving quickly toward a public decision about building a new high school. Tim Taylor says a construction firm will suggest hiring an architect that will put out a specific plan which will be part of a petition circulated after the new year asking for an April 3rd bond issue. He says by the time the petition is drafted and circulated, the district will know how much a new high school will cost--somewhere between $90 and $95 million.  Taylor says the school board still has to decide whether to include a new swimming pool in the bond issue.
