Thousands of Medicaid patients may see another change to their health plan. UnityPoint says it's notified its Medicaid patients that it has reached an impasse in contract negotiations with AmeriGroup. It's one of the private companies that manages Iowa's Medicaid program and the impasse could affect 54,000 Medicaid recipients. UnityPoint says if there isn't a new contract by the end of the year, AmeriGroup will pull out on April 1st.
