The Ames City Council got an early look, Tuesday, at the city's roll in the redevelopment of land on Lincoln Way south of the railroad tracks between Clark and Kellogg avenues. Planning and Housing Director Kelly Diekmann says the addition of retail, entertainment, and certainly rental housing space has to come with additional parking. He says he'd also like to council to consider some park space that's actually north of of the proposed redevelopment area at 5th and kellogg near the library. The council will continue it's review of near-downtown revelopment plans when it meets again in two weeks.
