The process to determine the next state budget is underway, but Governor Reynolds is warning of a tough road ahead. Multiple budget hearings were held in Des Moines Monday even though lawmakers won't know until next month how much money they'll be able to spend in the 2019 budget year. Reynolds says the budget isn't going to be fun, but credited the state's new collective bargaining law for making things a bit easier. Reynolds also said she's looking at possible state income tax cuts despite a tight budget picture.
