The Ames City Council will consider a number of big issues as it meets Tuesday for the first time in November. Mayor Ann Campbell says city staff is looking for clarification on the council's attempts to write new rental housing regulations after trying to craft rules that base occupancy on available bedrooms and parking spaces. She says the council will also take up a plan that calls for massive redevelopment on Lincoln Way from Clark to Kellogg avenues, starting with land use policies including mixed use residential and commerical spaces, parking requirements and storm water runoff. Campbell says the council will also get a report from parks and recreation staffers on air quality issues at Municipal Swimming Pool.
