How many ways can I say thank you to our veterans, believe me it’s never enough. Some how the words “Thank you for your service” leave me a little shallow in truly expressing my gratitude. Unless you have served, whether in war or peace we will never comprehend the willingness to step forward and put your life on the line to protect our precious freedoms. We are now more aware that many times the experiences they have had continue beyond their service in the form of PTSD, a horrible after affect of battle stress which often changes their lives forever. I will continue to thank them and their families for their service, but know that even through the sincerity of those words I can never hope to express my emotions and deepest gratitude for what they have given me and my beloved country.
