The next president of Iowa State University could be announced today. The Board of Regents is expected to make the announcement this evening after a day-long meeting. University of Central Florida Executive Vice President Dale Whittaker is no longer in the running after announcing his withdrawal from the race on Friday. That leaves Sonny Ramaswamy, Pamela Whitten and Wendy Wintersteen as the three finalists for the job. Wintersteen is the only in-house candidate as she's the current dean of ISU's College of Agriculture.
