Quad Cities-based Deere and Company has won a trademark infringment lawsuit over their iconic color. The company sued FIMCO, a South Dakota ag-equipment maker that had been using the green and yellow color scheme on its agricultural sprayers. The week-long bench trial was held in Paducah, Kentucky. The judge in the case agreed with Deere, saying if FIMCO used green and yellow on its products, buyers would be confused about which company made the equipment. Deere says the suit is part of an ongoing effort to protect trademarks and intellectual property.
