Mayor candidates differ on challenges

Ames' Mayoral candidates have different ideas about the biggest challeneges facing the city. John Haila says he thinks Ames needs to find new ways to deal with increasing diversity and inclusiveness, while challenger Victoria Szopinski says housing is the most important issue facing the city. Haila and Szopinski are vying for the seat being vacated by long-time mayor Ann Campbell. She threw her support behind Haila in a letter published in the Ames Tribune on Saturday.
