Rain slows Iowa harvest

Rainy weather slowed the harvest in Iowa last week. The latest crop report shows eight percent of corn and 26 percent of soybeans have been harvested. Iowa Deputy Ag Secretary Mike Naig says the corn harvest is more than two weeks behind the five year average, and the soybeans harvest is a week behind schedule.  Corn condition remains at 60-percent good to excellent.  Soybeans are rated  62 percent good to excellent.
