The Ames City Council takes a second look at a six-month moratorium on new rental permits tonight. The move is designed to give the city time to handle changes in state law that no longer allow cities to regulate rental occupancy based on family status. Mayor Ann Campbell says the Colonial Village neighborhood near Campustown wants to be added to six areas included in the moratorium. Tonight's meeting in city hall starts at 6:00.
