The man who killed at least 58 people and wounded hundreds of others in Las Vegas is a Quad Cities native. Clinton County birth records show gunman Stephen Craig Paddock was born in Clinton in 1953. The Recorder's office shows Paddock's father was Benjamin Paddock from Sheboygan, Wisconsin and his mother was born in Illinois. It's not clear how long Stephen Paddock remained in Clinton after his birth. He reportedly grew up mostly in Tucson, Arizona and Sun Valley, California.
