Iowa regents want $12 million

The Iowa Board of Regents wants $12 million from state lawmakers. That decision made by the Regents Monday would give Iowa State University and the University of Iowa $5 million each. The University of Northern Iowa would receive $2 million. The regents say that money would go to resident students who need financial aid. The move by the Regents comes just months after the three schools asked to increase tuition each year for the next five years.
