Regents to make large financial aid request

The Iowa Board of Regents wants to help students with financial aid in the next fiscal year.  The board says it'll ask for $12 million to be used for financial aid purposes.  It makes up the majority of the board's overall request for an increase of $16 million that'll go before lawmakers.  Earlier this summer, leaders at the state's three public universities asked for tuition increases as part of their five-year plans.
