The United Way of Story County wants to raise $2.2 million in it's 2017 Capital Campaign. Executive Director Jean Kresse announced the goal at the organization's annual kick-off breakfast Friday morning. She says more than 100 programs in across 31 partner agencies will benefit from the annual fund-raiser. Kresse also says 16 so-called "pacesetter" businesses have already started raising money for this year's effort. The 2017 Capital Campaign's start coincides with the annual "Day of Caring." More than 600 volunteers will work on a wide variety of projects for human service agencies and schools across Story County.
