Ames to host digital literacy conference

Ames will host Iowa's first digital literacy conference this fall. Gov. Reynolds announced Tuesday that education, health, and safety leaders will be part of the event Nov. 10th at the Gateway Hotel and Conference Center. Reynolds says the one-day conference is an opportunity for Iowa to lead the way with cutting edge research and teaching tools to strengthen children and teens in a fast-changing digital world. The goal is to address attention disorders, bullying, obesity, poor school performance and substance abuse, among other behavioral risks that can be influenced by media interactions.
