Boone-based Fareway Stores is sending supplies to Harvey victims. The grocer is sending two semitrailers of supplies to the East Texas Food Bank in Tyler, Texas. Some of the supplies traveling about 800 miles to the Texas regions in need are bleach, diapers, paper towels and drinking water. Fareway is working with the American Red Cross and other relief agencies in Texas and plans to make another trip after Labor Day weekend.
