Colton backs new high school, questions swimming pool

A newcomer to the Ames School Board race is backing a bond issue to build a new high school. Jamet Colton says she wants as many people as possible included in the conversation about the building's design. She says she also has more questions than answers about a new swimming pool at the high school, including whether a partnership with the City of Ames will continue.  Colton will appear on the Sept. 12th ballot with fellow newcomers Monic Benkin and Gina Perez, along with incumbent Tim Rasmussen. Voters will chose three school board members.
