Iowa's sole remaining Affordable Care Act-approved health insurance provider is proposing a massive rate hike for next year. Medica said Wednesday it's looking to raise rates by 57-percent due to uncertainty over the cost-sharing reduction payments that lower premiums for those covered. The proposed rate increase is more than what Medica filed for back in June, which was only 43.5 percent. The Iowa Insurance Division will have the final say over the proposed rate hike.
