Corbett calls for Regents elmination

Cedar Rapids mayor and Republican governor candidate Ron Corbett is no fan of the Iowa Board of Regents.  He called for its elimination Wedensday after a set of tuition increase proposals were introduced by the state's three public universities over the last week.  Corbett says more than $4 million could be saved by eliminating the board.  Iowa State University and the University of Iowa have suggested tuition increases of seven percent over five years, while the University of Northern Iowa's proposed a smaller increase tied to the availability of state funds.
