Maxwell man faces charges after Sunday incident

A Maxwell man faces several charges after barrcaiding himself in his home Sunday night. The Story County Sheriff's Office says the incident began just after 5:00 p.m. when deputies were called to the 500 block of 2nd St. in Maxwell following a report of a man with multiple weapons. The sheriff's office says negotiators were called to the scene to convince Benjamin Kent Dysktra, 42, of Maxwell to leave the residence.  He gave himself up just before 10:00 p.m. Dysktra faces misdemeanor counts of displaying a weapon, domestic abuse, harassment, and interference with official acts. After a mental health evaluation, Dykstra was booked into the Story County Jail on $20,000 bond. No one was injured in the incident
