Iowa drought worsens

Iowa's drought situation is getting worse as rain continues to elude parts of the state that need it the most.  The latest U.S. Drought Monitor report released Thursday found that seven percent of the state is now under severe drought conditions.  Southern Iowa has been hit the hardest as portions of more than a dozen counties are experiencing severe drought.  Every other drought category experienced a slight change in either direction this week.
