Corrieri seeks second term

An Ames City Council member wants four more years. At-large member Amber Corrieri says in a news release she's running for another term. She was first elected in 2013 and says she wants a second term to focus on community amenities, workforce housing, and downtown and Campustown revitalization. Corrieri is the second incumbent council member to announce a re-election run. First Ward member Gloria Betcher announced a run for a second term last month. Two candidates are running for the council's Third Ward seat. Rob Bowers and David Martin want the seat being vacated by Peter Orazem. Mayor Ann Campbell announced earlier this year that she's not seeking another term. Victoria Szopinski and John Haila are running for the seat.
