A pedestrian safety study in Campustown is the big agenda item before the Ames City Council as it meets for the final time in July Tuesday. At-large Council Member Amber Corrieri will run the meeting in Mayor Ann Campbell's absence. She says the council will get results on the year-long first phase of the study that pointed out one fact that was probably obvious--there are lots of people on foot in Campustown. Corrieri says the council will have to consider whether or not to conduct a second phase of the pedestrian safety study.
