The Iowa State Patrol is warning drivers they're taking the fight against distracted driving to a new level. The patrol is finding creative ways to catch drivers texting, including riding in RVs to watch drivers from a higher vantage point. Officials say troopers could be in construction gear at a work site to keep a lookout for distracted drivers and those speeding through work zones. The patrol is also getting some help from Department of Natural Resources officers, who will be in their trucks looking for texting drivers and alerting state troopers.
