I've been gone a couple of days as this old dog needed to learn some new tricks. Thank goodness I am surrounded by youthful genius with patience enough to entertain the idea that it is still possible to teach this stubborn curmudgeon. I often picture my grandparents coming back and trying to soak in what has transpired since their departure on this earthly plain, it would be overwhelming more than it is for me. One more thought, as I mentioned this morning, please take a moment to utter a prayer for one of the great Americans of our time, Senator John McCain and his family. He has fought so many battles in his lifetime and this may be his toughest. I mince no words in my extreme hatred of cancer and now I have one more reason.
