People who live or work in Campustown should consider themselves warned. The Ames Police Department's been directed by the City Council to step-up enforcement of parking regulations in the area. Cmdr. Geoff Huff says the department's community safety officers will look for cars parked overnight illegaly and those violating alternate side parking rules. The department says permanent, full-time increased enforcement could cost the city an additional $60,000 a year.
