Iowa casino revenue increases

An Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission report says revenue for Iowa's 19 state-licensed casinos grew slightly in fiscal 2017, even though 12 facilities posted a yearly decline. The one-percent overall increase was due largely to upgrades at the Quad City casinos.  Casinos licensed by the commission took in a combined $15.7 million more in the year ending June 30th than in 2016.  In total, Iowa casinos saw nearly $1.5 billion in revenue in the last year.
