Mild spring and summer weather is helping move along road construction season in Ames. Municipal Engineer Tracy Warner says that's helped ensure projects get done before rental leases expire. Civil Engineer Mark Gansen says a traffic signal and frontage road will soon join a new median on S. Duff Ave. that was completed in May. In addition, reconstruction work on Clark Ave. between Lincoln Way and the railroad tracks is set to begin later this month, and an intersection modification at west Lincoln Way and Franklin Ave. is slated for early August.
