(Ames, IA) -- Iowa State University is being names as one of the top-25 safest campuses in the country. The study by the National Council For Home Safety and Security ranked ISU at number-18 in the country. The University of Iowa ranked at number-58 on the list. The report reviewed criminal crimes, violence against women crimes and arrests for illegal weapons possession, drug law violations and liquor law violations in making its determination. The University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH, was ranked as the safest college campus.
