Governor Kim Reynolds may have to earn the Republican nomination for governor next year. Cedar Rapids Mayor Ron Corbett is expected to announce Tuesday his intention to seek the nomination. He announced late last year he wasn't going to run for another term, a position he's held since 2009. Corbett's been touring the state for the last year assessing the electoral and financial viability of a possible run. Corbett was also Speaker of the Iowa House back in the 1990s.
