Iowa's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate is remaining steady for the third straight month. Iowa Workforce Development says the state's jobless rate was 3.8 -percent a year ago and is 3.1 percent now. The U.S. unemployment rate dropped to 4.3 percent in May. Officials say after two months of losses Iowa businesses showed some signs of optimism with 5,500 jobs added last month especially in the trades, healthcare and manufacturing industries.
